The New York State Health Department requires all tattoo artists as well as piercers to undergo a health certification class as well as pass a test to be certified to legally tattoo or pierce in New York State.

All Cliff's Tattoo of Long Island tattoo artists and piercers are state certified. You will notice the certification in every tattoo station or piercing station.

All Cliff's tattoo artists and piercers are knowledgeable in the prevention of disease and practice safety measures to assure against cross-contamination.

Our tattoo artists use only single serve needles that are deposited in health department approved sharps containers. All tubes are scrubbed and sterilized in an autoclave at tempatures and pressures set forth by the State of New York health department.

All of our piercers use single serve needles. All supplementary tools are sterilized as described above under the tattoo artists sterilization paragraph.
